Bedroom count is a useful starting point, but it does not tell the whole story. Two homes with the same number of bedrooms can have completely different volumes, access and specialist items.

A simple starting guide

These are planning guides, not guarantees. A detailed inventory and photos are more reliable than bedroom count alone.

  • 4.5T extended-body truck: often suitable for apartments, smaller homes and moderate loads.
  • 8T truck: useful for larger household volumes or when a three-person crew improves handling speed.
  • 10T truck: better suited to fuller homes, bulky furniture and loads where extra capacity reduces the risk of a second trip.

What changes the vehicle choice

  • Large modular sofas, outdoor settings and oversized mattresses.
  • Garages, sheds, storage cages and accumulated boxes.
  • Pianos, safes, marble, glass or commercial equipment.
  • Height or length restrictions at either property.
  • Whether furniture can be safely disassembled before loading.

Why too small can cost more

Choosing only by the lowest hourly rate can create a second trip, extra travel or an incomplete move. The better comparison is the likely total time, crew and capacity needed to complete the job safely.

How to help us assess the load

List furniture by room, estimate the number of boxes and include the garage, balcony and outdoor areas. Add photos of grouped contents and measurements for oversized items.
